The Conference Planning Committee will be responsible for developing all elements of the programme, which shall include opening and closing plenary sessions, interactive roundtables, workshops organized by conference participants, exhibits and side events to engage attendees, as well as a Conference reception. NGOs at large will be invited to offer their support in organizing the Conference, and to propose workshops, exhibits, off-site and side events inspired by the spirit of this concept note, to enrich the Conference programme and inform the action agenda.
The Conference will commence on Saturday, 12th November 2016 until Monday, 14th November 2016. The participants are expected to arrive on Saturday 12th November 2016 before 1200 Hrs and depart on Tuesday 15th November 2016.
The Conference agenda comprises of the following components:
- Plenary sessions compose of introductory speeches and papers, regional views today, and personal views of youth based on the 17 agenda of SDGs;
- Workshops are brainstorming sessions for participants. In this session, emphasis is made that there is no debate, no criticism, and no cross talk. Instead we call for suggestions and note them, all of them, and later prioritize the list of suggestions to come up with a long term based declaration. The "brainstorm" is very structured and focused and the participants must learn and practice the ground rules; Meetings and networking dinners;
- Debates session will be only in the special session of preparation of “Youth Action Plan”.
